Local Government Reorganisation

From 1st April 2028, Chorley Council and Lancashire County Council will cease to exist, with Lancashire being served by four local authorities.

For our residents this will be South Lancashire Council, covering the current Chorley, South Ribble and West Lancashire borough council areas. The new Council will bring services currently provided by both the Borough and County Council under one roof with the intention of saving money and improving efficiency.
